Frequently Asked Questions

How do I switch between Degree and Radian mode?

Tap the "DEG" or "RAD" button in the display area to toggle between angle modes. You can also use keyboard shortcuts on iPad (Cmd+D for degrees, Cmd+R for radians).

How do I graph a function?

Navigate to the Graphing tab, enter your function expression (e.g., "sin(x)" or "x^2"), and tap the plus button. The graph will be displayed automatically.

How do I access calculation history?

Tap the history icon (clock) in the top bar, or use the History option in the More tab. Your calculations are saved automatically and can be searched.

Does the app work offline?

Yes! All core calculator functions work entirely offline — no internet connection is needed. The optional AI Math Solver feature requires an internet connection and your own API key to communicate with an AI provider.

How do I set up the AI Math Solver?

Go to More → Settings → AI Configuration. Enter your API key from a supported provider (OpenAI, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, or any OpenAI-compatible service). Once configured, the AI Solver in the Tools tab will provide step-by-step solutions to your math problems.

Yes, if you're signed in to iCloud, your settings and calculation history will sync across all your Apple devices.

How do I use the Apple Watch app?

The Apple Watch app provides quick access to basic calculations, tip calculator, and unit converter. Open the app on your watch to get started.

How do I use Exam Mode?

Go to More → Exam Mode to enable a restricted calculator mode. You can choose which features to allow (formulas, history, graphing) to comply with exam regulations.
